SKILLS YOU MUST ACQUIRE BEFORE GETTING MARRIED

Before marriage there are some skills you must have acquired, don't forget that marriage is not between a boy and a girl but between a man and a woman of matured mind and have understood what marriage is all about. This is very important for any one planning on settling down, also remember that wedding is for a day and marriage is everlasting, this is the more reason you must have acquire the skills below before marriage.    
1. Emotional self-control. You must learn to put your anger tendencies under your control, because you have the power to do that. If you get provoked more often than normal, that my friend you have to work on, you don't have to answer every provoking statement that is made to you. You must know that there would always be times when misunderstanding would come up in marriage, the ability to of not raising your voice always would go a long way in saving your marriage.  
2. Understanding Individual Differences. All individual have their short-falls and your ability to understand that would go a long way in building a healthy relationship.Your strength and that of your partner are not the same and you have got to learn when to stop pushing.
3. Communication.Communication is an essential tool, to build a healthy relationship, not opting out, especially when the issue isn't pleasing to you, and listening so as to keep up connection, is very vital to a marriage. Talking in a way that is displeasing can destroy your marriage, disregarding what your partner says and confronting your partner on hearsay without hearing from your partner is detrimental.
4. Optimistic/Supportive. It is your responsibility to support your partner and see positivity in your partner even when others are seeing the opposite, even when he/she is not getting things perfectly as you expect. your partner should be able to share every thing with you no matter how stupid it may sound, you should be wiling to make sacrifices, don't be in the habit of  "it's your turn today i can't cover for you".
